FOUR TOWNES FAMILY YMCA in Deltona Florida
I have continued to go to the Y off and on, because of my aches and pains.
In 2003, I decided to move to Florida, from New York City, and get away from it all! I always wanted to buy a house where I could spend my old age without burdening my children. One of my sons had moved to Florida, and I thought it would be best to have at least one of my children near me, in case of an emergency; my other children would not worry because one of them was nearby. I got away from it all alright, I found myself in the early 20th century. I thought that I had moved to “Father knows best land, and Mayberry, where Andy Griffith lived. You go outside and if you do not have your lights on it is total darkness, it’s like a ghost town. No stores nearby, we had to drive everywhere we had to go, no buses or trains. The neighbors live in their own world, a person dies and no one knows. Life in New York City is different, the neighbors care, we have transportation, and many other places to go. I began to gain weight, because there was nothing to do and nowhere to go except the big attractions like Disneyland, Wet-N-wild, Daytona Raceway and places that are very expensive. I was going out of my mind with boredom. We did go fishing some times. One day in 2009, I went to the Supermarket and discovered a gym for women only. I joined and was now able to go somewhere even if it was to do workout for 30 minutes. I looked forward to getting up in the morning to go to the gym for 30 minutes. The owner’s daughter also the trainer is very attentive, many of the women were very friendly. After working out for a year, I finally lost 15 lbs. We had a lot of fun, and one of the members loved to take cupcakes whenever there was a birthday. I loved making them laugh and looked forward to going to do my workouts.
Things were not going well at the Deltona location, and the daughter had to merge with the owner’s gym, in Orange City, Florida, They moved. and things began to change; many women could not go to Orange city because of the gas situation being very expensive. I started to go three days a week, because I could not afford the gas prices. I also began to feel uncomfortable; the ladies were not as friendly as the ones who went to Deltona. My back began to hurt again, and I was unable to walk. I had too many doctors appointment, and the medicines and drugs were not working. I was sent to rehab, where I got 4 needles in one day, and I had this done three times. Instead of getting better I got worse, I had to get a power chair because I could not walk. I decided to do my own home remedies. I bought a Dancing with the Stars Latin Salsa aerobics DVD, starring Maksim Chimerkovskiy, and Sheryl Burke, and did my workouts. It hurt in the beginning, but then I began to walk and feel better. I lost a couple of lbs; I even went to New York City to welcome my new grandson who was born August 2013. I lost more weight in NYC. When I returned home I decided to go back to the gym to continue my workouts, again, they moved to another location in a shopping center next to a big Department store, also in Orange City. It is a very classy place but smaller. I noticed that fewer of the ladies I knew were not going any more. Again I began to feel uncomfortable. Trainers are very nice ladies, the owner gave me a nice bag for my birthday, but I felt as if I was in ice. When we were in Deltona, I had my first book published, I gave the ladies a complimentary book signed, and when they moved, I was given the book back! I felt very bad because I donated the book so all the ladies would have a chance to read it, since there was a magazine and book case full of books for the ladies to take home read and return, but they treated my book as if it meant nothing. One of the other trainers took it home to read and bring it back for the other ladies to read, but she never returned it. I also had my second and third books published, I told them about it, I wanted the owner to know that I had named one of the characters on the book after their beloved deceased dog, but since I was ignored I change the name of the doggie.
Today we have Wal-mart, Walgreens, Publix and other stores around the corner, Lowes, CVS and other stores nearby, we also have buses, running more frequent, and the bus stops are nearby too.
I then decided to try the YMCA in Deltona. Marco and I went inside and the staff was very nice to us. I then decided to join. When I came out of the gym Marco was having conversations with the people sitting on the lobby. We went to the van and along the way home, Marco decided to join too. Marco is one not to like being in crowds, or socializing with people. But he enjoyed exchanging conversations with the people there. The following day Marco joined. We have been members for only three months, and already Marco started to lose weight and I too have lost weight.
I like the fact that I can stay on the machines until I do my full workouts, instead of having to get off the machines because someone else is waiting to get on! We can stay at the Y as long as we feel to socialize with others, have coffee, a complimentary from the Y staff.
I continued to go to the other gym three times a week, but then management installed new machines and asked the members not to wear their street shoes at the Gym. I did not understand and asked why at their website, but I got no reply. I was not about to get new sneakers just to go to the gym for 30 minutes. The Gym was beginning to sound too rich for me, although Sliver Sneakers pays for my membership. Maybe management did not understand, but I decided to go to the Y and do Silver Sneakers Aerobics, along with my regular workout, three days a week. I don’t have to travel to Orange City and I also save gas plus Marco accompanies me, instead of staying in the car having to wait for me at the parking lot near the other gym. Don’t misunderstand me, the gym in Orange City is a very good place to workout, but I like the service that we get at the Y.
If you have children, they have a baby sitting staff and they take good care of the children. Everyone is very supportive and friendly, they have Zumba classes, other aerobic classes, swimming classes, water aerobics, televisions and people of all ages attend.
I enjoy the fact that seniors of all ages do workouts and are treated with respect. Many companies contribute and volunteer to help. I am very happy to be a member of FOUR TOWNES FAMILY YMCA, they have also acknowledged me as an author of my three published books, RUTH MINERVA, my autobiography, Jadyn and Rojo the Red Alligator, a children’s book, and ETERNAL LOVERS, a Novella. I am also a Psychic reader and healer.
We even got our pictures taken and displayed with my books, and they were displayed at the front of the lobby. We were also acknowledged at their website.
I hope that our small donation helps in some way.
Marco and I have been welcomed and plan to be members of the Y as long as we can. FOUR TOWNES FAMILY YMCA is a wonderful place to go and workout, feel better about ourselves and socialize! If you visit the website you will be informed o the many programs they have. I will post the link, and pictures that I took at Four Townes Family YMCA. Check out the rest of the photos in the photos page.
Ruth Minerva’s 72nd birthday
January 26, 1942, early evening, a young pregnant woman was all alone in her room; her gavalanting husband was nowhere to be found. Her labor pains began and she ran to her mother’s house. An old man was sitting in the kitchen table drinking alcohol, when he heard someone knocking hard, saying “Mami, open the door, I am having labor pains.” “Woman, come open the door our daughter is going to labor.” The old man said.
An older woman ran to the door opened it, helped her daughter in, and said. “Here lay on my bed; I am going to get the midwife”
At 12:00, January 27, 1942. A beautiful baby girl was born and about to start her arduous journey into this world. That baby girl was named “RUTH MINERVA survived all, lived for her children, is now a proud great grandma, and is very proud of her children. She was determined to leave a legacy for her children, Ruth Minerva loved to write, but she had to put it on hold, to be a mother first, and when she was 68 years old, achieved her dream and became a published author. Even though writing her first book, her autobiography, caused her a lot of tears, the end justified the means, and now Ruth Minerva is happy with her adoring and beautiful children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and rest of the family.
Ruth Minerva has written two more books and on-line Novellas. Ruth Minerva now lives with her loving husband. After living together for 16 years Ruth Minerva and Marco were finally married. Ruth Minerva learned how much she loves her husband, when she thought she was going to loose him, when he had a heart attack! They have been together for 26 years and their love gets stronger as the days go by.
That baby girl, who is 74 years old, will continue her journey in life until God sends for her.
January 27, 2016, Ruth Minerva is now 74 years old. So many changes in her life.

| Calling for Authors to our second Deltona Regional Library’s Authors Book Fair: Celebrating Writers and Readers will take place Oct. 15, 2011, in the library. |
This is a great opportunity to have Authors and a great exposure to published Authors and their books.
I had my first book signing at the First Authors Fair and it was a lot of fun, I had the opportunity of meeting other authors at the reception the night before and we had News Media coverage at the Fair. I am also now a member of the Friends of Deltona Library committee. Come join us, it will be a fun day. If you need any more information, or if you want an application to have your book signing.
I am not too sabby with websites, and I cannot afford to pay for one at the moment. I want this website to be comfortable to read. Too much graphics may hurt the eyes of some. Dark websites may be nice but I hate dark. I like the sunshine to brighten my site and fire to keep it warm. I cannot afford to have my own domain for now. Suggestions are welcomed. Constructive criticism is good. I keep improving it until I get it right.
My turtle Luna began to be herself again and when she was hungry or thirsty she stepped on Ruthy's feet. Marco would then take Luna outside where she ate grass and plants, then Marco gave her water.
When Shannon, Ruthy's granddaughter visited her with her daughter Jadyn and brother Brandon, they were happy to see Luna.Shannon had seen Luna when Ruhy had brought her home
Luna was very aggressive when she wanted to climb on the bottom of the tv tables, breaking Ruthy's porcelain. Ruthy did not mind and decided to put everything out of Luna's reach. Ruth noticed that Luna wanted to go somewhere, she was caught trying to borough a hole in the fence to get out. Ruth then realized that Luna wanted to be free outside. Fearing that Luna would get hurt or killed Marco and Ruth kept a watch over Luna. One day Ruth Noticed that Luna was gone and she could not find her. Marco looked around the neighborhood, but did not find her. Ruth missed Luna but then realized that it was best. Luna seemed like she wanted to be free. Perhaps she had found a family or other turtles to be with. Ruth knew that Luna was safe because the law protects turtles in Florida. maybe some day Luna will return or maybe she is still in the backyard. One thing for sure she has food and water.
After 6 years,, my Turtle Luna, has been found.
I remember moving to Florida from NYC and bringing my turtle whom I had bought from a Chinese fish store in the Bronx for $5.00. I did not want her to be killed and eaten. I took her home, put her in the bathtub, but she refused to stay in the bath tub. I put her on the floor where she walked and disappeared for days. she came out when she was hungry and thirsty. I would put her in the bathtub full of water, she swam all day ate, then I would take her out, put her back on the floor where again she disappeared in the apartment. I remember taking pictures of her looking at TV. No one believed that I had such a smart turtle.
I moved to Florida, and put Luna on the back porch, I let her out to the back yard since I had a fence. One day I looked forLuna and did not find her. We looked all over and thought that maybe she found Florida turtles and left. My thoughts were that maybe she found a male turlte and left. \
Today, April 15, 2011, Marco went to help a neighbor in the yard, and found a turtle there. He did not notice who it was. I drove near there and when he showed the turtle to me, I immediately recognized the crack on her back. The turtle was yellow from the dirt and very big. I told Marco that it was Luna, and took her home. I poured water over her and sure enough she was green, she was my long lost Luna. My baby turtle had been around the corner for six years and I could not find her.Now she is very big but the crack on her back is still the same.. I called my granddaughter Shannon to tell her Luna was found. Shannon had cried when she heard Luna was lost, today she cried because Our long lost Luna was found.
This book was written to remind those who made my life miserable. It was also written to let those who have experience the same or similar experiences to know that they are not alone and will survive. All it takes is faith, willpower and determination. The book was written to make those who are guilty to try an understand, and stop hurting me. Those who have been known as saints, heroes, respected decent people, Goodie-two-shoes, strong and powerful, loving, considerate, helpful, and good Christians, have been child molesters, weak, drug addicts, ex-cons, idiots, inconsiderate, greedy, disrespectful, adulterers, hurtful and cruel people. The closet doors have been opened to know the real person. I have been been tortured, humiliated, disrespected and no one defended me, I lived only for my children, trying to have food and a roof over their heads, forgetting about about me and my own reputation. I kept a journal and promised myself that someday I would get even and remind those who made my life miserable of what they did to me and who they really were. I feel bad for the young kids who did not realize what was going on and I am sure that they are hurting and will hate me for the rest of my life. No one has ever acknowledged the good and the sacrifices I have made for my kids. There are many people with the same problems and they ask me for help.I love helping people. I write because I love to write, I wrote the book, it has been published, but with a lot of errors. Publish America does not edit manuscripts. I thank God that my husband understands and backs me up, for he was there when many of these things happened. He has always kept quiet, but now he told me to do what I want to do and let no one stop me. I am at peace with myself and God, because I have taken care of myself, no one has ever done anything for me, and if they did, I paid them for it. I thank God that although my kids are upset with me, ( except my youngest son and oldest granddaughter) are all drug free, finished their education and are all independent. It is proof that I raised them well, even if they have done some wrong, but no one s perfect. I love them unconditionally. If you want to know what I am talking about, read the book with errors and all. This is the first time that I have blogged my personal, I feel so numb I cannot even understand how people can be so insensitive. No wonder the ocean and the earth are claiming back what humans took from them. I fear Mother Nature and Gods wrath more than anything for they have no mercy.

I would like to be able to help others in whatever questions they have. Sometimes we need to talk to someone, or relate to others who have had the same experiences in life, as the woman Ruth Minerva is my book. We could help one another to overcome obstacles. I may not be able to answer some of your questions, but perhaps together we can help each other. Feel free to post a comment and I will reply as best I can or someone else may be able to. Sign my guest book and leave a comment. I will get back to you. God bless

Ruth Minerva is the story of a woman as she makes her life's journey, encounters trials and discovers love and happiness. I tell of the time when Ruth Minerva is still young. Her womanizer father gets hit by a truck and looses his left leg, but this does not stop him from getting mistresses and money.
Growing up Ruth Minerva is taken to New York city by her grandmother, and then her parents also move to New York. Ruth Minerva gets married and later encounters many bizarre happenings in her life, like hurtful possessive spirits. Her husband dies, leaving her and her children to survive on their own. Ruth Minerva discovers her spiritual powers, and uses them to defend herself, and her family. Ruth Minerva falls in love with a drug addict who changes his life's path, together they stand strong and become stronger as years go by.
I am writing articles in my blogs, of the many things that are happening or experiences others have had, that will help many in the same or similar situations. I will be writing about a different subject every week month, or whenever I have an idea.
If any of you has an idea, please feel free to let me know.I want this site to be fun, and enjoyable to all who visit. You can suggest recipes, write about other authors, suggestions about books, in the forum, or you can post blogs. I will be getting ideas as to holidays Decorations. Psychic comments and questions are welcomed too.
I am going to start a Psychic page to answer any questions you may have. If I do not have the answer, I will look for it. You can find it in the blog. Make sure to ask. I was born with my psychic abilities. I had a hard time believing, I learned the hard way and my grandmother finally gave me all I needed to know.
Both my grandmothers were very powerful psychics. My paternal grandmother was very reserved, but my maternal grandmother was a very well known psychic healer in Puerto Rico. I found myself experiencing and doing unexplained things. I continuously ask my maternal grandma, but she always avoided the questions. Before she died she told me that if I ever experienced cold energies, not to be afraid. She died and never explained anything else to me.
Before my paternal mother died, she asked to be taken to my house where she asked to be alone with me to give her strenth and energy she needed, however, she asked my father and mother, to stay, she then faced me and grabbed both my hands, telling me to close my eyes, relax and concentrate.I did as I was told, and felt a bolt of energy passing from my body to hers. I then felt like I was floating on air, I opened my eyes and saw that my body was above the floor, but could not move. I then began to speak to my grandmother, but it was not my voice I felt different. I told my grandmother things I did not know about. I tried to stop talking but could not. I felt myself moving my hands in the air. I closed my eyes and when I opened them I was back on the floor, able to move and speak. My father was dumbfounded, my mother was surprised. Grandmother had never done that before. Grandmother then explained that I also had spiritual powers. The reason that I was not told, was because I was afraid of ghosts. Grandmother then asked to be taken home.
The day before grandmother died, she was in the hospital and mentally called me. I went to see her and she asked me not to let anyone stop her transition to the spirit world. I then told her I would heal her but she said not to, it was her time. However, she told me that I was to take over the task of looking after the family after she died. I asked why me? Grandmother said. "Because your are the first of the third generation on both sides of the family and was going to inherit both their powers, plus I had my own which would make me very powerful. I was dumbfounded, I did not want the responsibility. I asked her to give it to one of the other member of the family, but she said it was my duty. Grandmother made me promise to take care of te family. I kissed and hugged grandmother, I knew it was the last time I was going to see her and went home. The following day grandmother died. I still could not believe it.
Years went by and I began to understand my mysterious powers. I began to practice them, and learned much more.
The psychic world is very dangerous if you do not know what, when, and how to do it. It does not mean that you do not believe in God. I love God and know that he has given me a gift to use to help others. I have the power to help as well as to hurt. I only hurt when it is a self defense situation.
Remember and know that there is always someone more powerful than you. This is not a competition, it is a gift to use wisely and not exploit people with it.
I will be posting other subjects in the blog other information. For now, God bless.
